Building Awareness for Local Distillery

Problem:
Waypoint Spirits, a local CT distillery, lacked a structured approach to social media and paid advertising, limiting their ability to build brand awareness, engage their audience, and drive taproom visits. Their challenges included:

  • No content planning or posting schedule, leading to inconsistent social media activity.
  • No strategy for obtaining high-quality, consistent content for their social channels.
  • Limited reach, preventing them from connecting with a broader audience.
  • No targeted approach to social media marketing to effectively reach their local market for taproom visits and statewide liquor sales.

To address these challenges, Waypoint Spirits partnered with 3PRIME to develop a cohesive content strategy and an optimized paid advertising plan to maximize engagement and conversions.

Approach:
To elevate Waypoint Spirits’ brand presence and drive taproom visits, we developed a comprehensive full-stack strategy focused on high-quality content creation and a targeted social media and paid advertising plan. Our approach combined professional photography with strategic marketing execution to address the brand’s key challenges.

We captured compelling images of the taproom and products on a monthly basis, ensuring a steady stream of fresh, engaging content. This content was then integrated into a dynamic social media strategy designed to maximize reach, engagement, and conversions. By crafting compelling copy and deploying ads across Facebook and Instagram, we expanded visibility beyond existing followers and into new, high-value audiences.

Our ad strategy targeted a local audience within a 30-mile radius of the taproom, specifically individuals over 21 with interests aligning with craft spirits. We leveraged engagement data to refine targeting, creating lookalike audiences to nurture new customers and sustain brand awareness. Over the first six months, we continuously optimized audience segments to maintain effectiveness.

With a carefully structured monthly ad budget, we allocated resources across platforms and campaigns, regularly analyzing performance metrics to refine strategy. Through ongoing monitoring and reporting, we adapted in real time, ensuring maximum return on investment and continued growth for Waypoint Spirits.

Outcome:
Thanks to the highly executed strategy 3PRIME presented and implemented, Waypoint Spirits saw massive growth in all areas. Waypoint experienced a 97.3% increase in Instagram engagement and a 61.1% increase in engagement on Facebook. Reach increased exponentially for both social channels with a 7.4k% increase on Instagram and a 386.5% increase on Facebook. Waypoint Spirits saw a follower growth rate of 14.1% on Instagram and 4.79% on Facebook in just 6 months. With a combination of general awareness ads, page promotion, and boosted content our targeted Facebook and Instagram ads contributed to these growths in reach, followers, and engagement.
